NZ-FIORDLAND-01

Fiordland, with room for the weather

Nine private days between Glenorchy, Doubtful Sound and the Catlins, designed around small vessels, naturalist guides and deliberate weather space.

The route

Begin with three nights near Glenorchy rather than rushing straight through Queenstown. Walk privately in the Rees Valley, then cross Lake Manapouri for two nights on a small vessel in Doubtful Sound. The final days turn south to the Catlins, where tides and wildlife decide the order.

Why it is designed this way

Fiordland weather is not a problem to eliminate. It is part of the landscape. We keep one experience flexible, avoid back-to-back flights, and provide a strong ground plan for low-cloud days.

Vehicle class, lodge level, walking distance and any scenic flight are confirmed after we understand the travellers and season.
